My name is Justin Morrison.

I am a 21-year-old photojournalism major currently attending my first semester at San Francisco State University. Though this is my first semester at SFSU it is my forth year in college. I spent three years at Contra Costa College in San Pablo, Calif. My three years at CCC were the largest growth period in my life. I credit that school with introducing me to journalism through the student publication, The Advocate. My first real taste of journalism was there and I haven’t looked by since.

I established myself as a photographer on the paper and a graphic designer. I quickly picked up both areas and grew to love the paper. After two years there I became the editor-in-chief for my final year at the school, 2008-09.

When I was looking to transfer several people recommended the photojournalism program at SFUS and I eventually decided to go.

Currently I commute to SFSU from my home in the East Bay. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have lived in Hercules all my life. I graduated from Hercules High School in 2006 and transferred to CCC which is just a few cities over.
